All services are run by a physiotherapist, therefore are entitled to a rebate through your private health fund if you have extras cover for physiotherapy, and meet the eligibility criteria.
As of 1st April 2019, the government has decided that services provided by a Physiotherapist that are marketed as or solely include Pilates will no longer be eligible for a private health insurance rebate. For more information about this change, please refer to http://bit.ly/2UXy5lE. In order for you to be eligible to receive this rebate when attending our Physiotherapy Clinical Equipment classes, you will need to have a current health condition that would benefit from involvement in Physiotherapy group exercise, and book an Initial one-on-one Consultation with our Physiotherapists to confirm your current health condition, develop an exercise program for you that will include a mixture of Pilates and non-Pilates exercises, and make notes on your progress.
In order for continued health insurance rebate eligibility, you would be required to have a one-on-one 30 minute consultation with your Physiotherapist every six to twelve months, or when clinically indicated, to review your current health condition and potentially modify your exercise program to ensure it is still meeting your rehabilitation goals and outcome measures.
Assuming the above conditions are met, you can claim back part of your session cost immediately by swiping your health insurance card in our HiCaps machine, whereby you only have to pay the difference, or alternately a full tax invoice can be provided for each service. Check with your fund for rebate amounts.
If you do not have a current health condition and participate in classes for maintaining wellness and preventing injury, from 1st April 2019 you will no longer be eligible for a rebate as a result of the government changes, and the full class fee will apply.
Attendance of any Physiotherapy Clinical Equipment classes require an Initial Assessment prior to commencement. Each client will be given an individually-tailored exercise program in accordance with their goals, injury or musculoskeletal status and cardiovascular fitness, and an information package will be provided.
A home exercise program is encouraged to supplement the formal Clinical Equipment classes and enhance gains made. This may involve a combination of mat-work, ball-work and stretches, depending on availability of equipment at home.
